Ample open space surrounding the house, required for musing on distant Surinam,
became possible on this small plot due to a steel frame supporting a freely suspended, cantilevered balcony which creates a verandah beneath it. The sunny colour scheme also bears connections to the owner’s mother country. A slatted band and a panoramic window provide privacy while offering prospects of the green surroundings.
